About Cookies.

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you visit our website. Some are needed for the site to work at all. Others tell us how the site is being used, and those only run if you agree to them.

Your Choice, and What It Controls.

When you first arrive, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing analytical runs until you choose. Until you select “Accept All”, analytics, personalisation and advertising storage are all switched off, and the tools described below are not loaded. There is one exception, and it is your choice too: if you open the chat, the chat tool loads so we can answer you, because a conversation is not possible without it.

If you decline, or if you close the banner without choosing, the site keeps working normally. You simply are not measured.

We remember your choice for 12 months so we do not ask on every page. To change it, clear this site’s cookies and site data in your browser: that removes the stored choice and the banner appears again.

What We Actually Use.

Strictly necessary

These keep the site secure and remember your cookie choice. They cannot be switched off, because without them the site cannot function or cannot honour your preference. They are not used to track you.

Analytics, only if you accept

  • Google Analytics counts visits and tells us which pages people land on, which links brought them to us and roughly which country they are in.
  • Microsoft Clarity records your visit so we can replay it later and see where our pages confuse people. It captures pointer movement, clicks and taps, scrolling and the path you took through the site. Anything you type into a form field or select from a drop-down is masked on your own device before the recording is sent, so we never receive it. Recordings are kept for 30 days; a small sample is kept up to 13 months. This is set out in full in our Privacy Policy.

Live chat, if you accept or if you start a chat

  • Pearl, our chat assistant, is provided through LeadConnector. The chat is not loaded when you arrive. It loads either when you accept cookies, or at the moment you open the chat tab, whichever happens first. Once it loads, it stores a session identifier and a short conversation history in your browser so your chat stays with you as you move between pages and if you return later. What you write is sent to us so we can answer it, and if you give us your email address, your enquiry and the conversation are saved to our customer records. Please do not share payment details or sensitive personal information in the chat. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle what you send us.

What We Do Not Do.

We do not use advertising cookies, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not share information from this website for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information.

Other Ways to Control Cookies.

Beyond the banner, your browser lets you block or delete cookies, refuse third-party cookies, or send a “Do Not Track” signal. Google also publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on every site, at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working.
